FAQs and Facts

You probably have questions about what to expect, what to bring and why you should feel confident that your pup will be safe, happy and well cared for during their stay. Here are answers to some questions or concerns.

Why should I pick you?

For starters, a good sitter has to REALLY love dogs. Our family is passionate about pups! Our dogs get lonely when we don't have a full house of playmates. When your dog is here, they really become part of the family. They can sit on the furniture, roam the house, run freely around the yard, and sleep in our beds (pending your approval).  Some other good things to know about us:

  • We are certified in pet CPR and first aid

  • We carry liability pet insurance

  • We have experience with elderly and special needs dogs, including medications and injections

  • We welcome puppies, including those who have not been spayed or neutered

  • If you normally crate your dog at night or when you leave, no need to  bring one - we have extras in all sizes

My pup is my baby. Will she/he be safe?

Safety is our #1 priority! That's why we request a meet and greet in advance of their stay to ensure there is no unexpected aggression between the dogs. We carefully select which guests we  watch at any given time, and keep notes to make sure dogs that don't seem to get along are kept separate.

We crate dogs (that are used to it) during feeding times and separate others to make sure there is no food aggression and nobody eats food they shouldn't.

We gate off areas nears doors so no "runners" can escape. Everyone in the family knows to take care when leaving or entering.

What should I bring?

  • Your dog's food and feeding instructions

  • blanket/bed they normally use (if applicable)

  • medications, dental treats, etc

  • toys? - only ones that aren't precious, as we can't guarantee another dog won't rip it up

Do I need to bring our crate?

Nope! But make sure we know what size and when they use it

Do you always crate dogs?

Absolutely not! We follow your routine. If you crate, we will. If they sleep in bed, they can here. Just make sure we know what your dog is used to at home.
